Hi Guys!

Yes, we are back and we had a really nice time in the netherlands!
First of all i want to underline, that we are landscouts, and no seascouts ... Unfortunately we have no big waters, where we live ( between cologne and frankfurt)!
During our camp, we had three days for a hike! We went in different groups throuh your country (Haarlem , Amsterdam, Alkmaar,...) where we had to do some bets! this was for example: to take a photo with the queen, to sleep for one night in a prison, to organise 30 different kinds of cheese, to take a photo with the naked people on the beach, and so on...was really funny and exciting, but unfortunately we failed in some bets...!The most time, we were on the beach in Zaandvort and in our camp in Bentveld, doing some worshops and get to know each other ( we were 520 scouts)! If you want, i can take some photos with me to your meeting on 29th august and show you the best things of our time in the netherlands!
Greetings Verena

I'm curious about the pictures, sounds like a great camp to me though! I wonder what's the difference between Dutch and German scouts...none I suppose, allthough some traditions will no doubt differ...

See you the 29th!

 Ai ai ai... That's a pitty!

Nice to hear you had a great time at the seaside of Holland.
Did I understand it well: 520 scouts from Germany at the same time at the same place?? That wasn't one group I suppose?

Well...if we count all the users from this forum...we would be with *doesn't know it by heart* ...erm..ah, 442 users at this moment. If we should organise a meeting with all the users...it wouldn't differ that much, would it

No, it was not one group! It was an organised camp of one diocese! There took part over 20 groups, but all from the same region! Two years ago, there was such a camp , too, but not in the netherlands! In Germany, there are a lot of meetings/camps/... of the different dioceses! It is really interesting, because you get allways to know new scouts and scouting groups....!Normally , we have over 2000 scouts in our diocese..., but not everyone took part !

See you on sunday!
Greetings Verena!

Really cool that you liked it so much here.

Our group had a camp on De Stierop (Noord -Holland) and for three days we had german neibours! They are also landscouts and on sunday they went sailing with some dutch people (forum user Cees was one of them)

We had a view weeks earlier people from Switserland on De Stierop, they were landscouts too.

I think its really cool that landscouts get a change to sail or get to know something about seascouting. Especially when they are from other countries.
